InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have announced a merger to create India’s largest AI-led insurance distribution platform.

InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy are merging to build India’s largest AI-led insurance distribution platform.
NEW DELHI: InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy said on Tuesday they have consolidated their businesses to form a single, pan-India insurance distribution platform, creating what the companies described as India’s largest AI-enabled insurance distribution platform by point-of-sale-person (POSP)-driven premium for the fiscal year ended March 2026.
The combined entity has a premium book exceeding ₹66,000 million, a network of more than six lakh digital partners, and distribution reach across 98.57% of India’s pin codes, as of March 31, 2026, the companies said in a joint statement. Since inception, the two platforms have together facilitated the issuance of more than two crore insurance policies, as of the same date.
InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy: Deal Structure
The merged business will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand. Ankit Agrawal, founder and chief executive of InsuranceDekho, will lead the combined entity. The founders of both companies will remain in the merged organisation, which the companies said is intended to preserve continuity in leadership and strategy.
The integration will bring together teams across technology, distribution, product and operations, according to the statement, which said the goal is uninterrupted service for customers and partners during the transition. The companies did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.

On the technology side, InsuranceDekho has developed in-house artificial intelligence tools that give partners real-time plan recommendations. RenewBuy contributes additional technology capabilities that the companies said will support automated partner onboarding. The combined platform is set to operate as an open, multi-insurer marketplace spanning motor, health, life and commercial insurance, with integrated digital onboarding, policy issuance and AI-powered advisory tools, according to the statement.
